What can I say? Mike and I met at DePaul in 2005, where we both majored in Biology. The professor announced that anyone wishing to see an excellent Volvox slide should consult with Mike, because his was the best in the lab! I was impressed & wanted to check his Volvox
I was surprised to find him indifferent when he said he’d already thrown it away. Needless to say, our first meeting left me a little sour. It must have had the opposite effect on him, however, because he then came up with a 2 week plan to get to know me. Shortly after chemistry tutoring (the same day), he went for it and asked me out. We went to see ‘The Ring 2′ the next night and the rest is history!!! This photo was taken a week or so later in Chicago’s Millenium Park.
Mike proposed to me on December 29, 2005 (the day before my birthday: his original plan).
We were married at the 63rd Street Beach House in Chicago, Illinois on 6.28.2007.
I worked as a genetic research assistant during my senior year of college and shortly after graduation. I planned to continue on for my master’s in biology, however, soon realized it was tough to pin down an exact location since Mike was in the process of applying to medical schools. I am currently supporting my husband the best way I know how (cooking, cleaning, feeding him) as he embarks on his journey to becoming a doctor in St. Maarten! I am so very proud of him!

This is sickeningly cute!! lol I love you Michael, and am very happy that you have dragged my sister to an island of bugs, hurricanes and stray cats. THIS is what life is about my friend!! I cannot wait to visit. NOT duing hurrican season however.
